Age Restriction — 18+ Only
Age verification is embedded into the 9joy registration and withdrawal process as a mandatory step. All new players are required to submit a valid form of government-issued identification — either a National Identity Card (NID) or passport — before their first withdrawal is approved. Accounts where age verification has not been completed are restricted to play-only mode with no withdrawals permitted.
In addition to document-based verification, 9joy uses risk-based monitoring to flag account behaviour that may be inconsistent with adult play patterns. Accounts flagged for further review are suspended pending additional verification.

Deposit & Spending Limits
One of the most effective tools for maintaining control over your gambling activity is setting a personal deposit limit. 9joy allows every registered player to establish a maximum amount they are willing to deposit into their account over a given period, directly from the account settings panel. This limit applies across all deposit methods, including bKash, Nagad, Rocket, Upay, and linked bank accounts.
Types of Deposit Limits Available
- Daily Deposit Limit: The maximum total amount (in BDT ৳) you can deposit across any 24-hour rolling period.
- Weekly Deposit Limit: The maximum total amount you can deposit across any 7-day rolling period (Monday 00:00 to Sunday 23:59, Bangladesh Standard Time).
- Monthly Deposit Limit: The maximum total amount you can deposit across any calendar month.
How Limit Changes Work
- Reducing a limit takes effect immediately. Once your new lower limit is saved, it applies to the very next deposit attempt.
- Increasing a limit is subject to a mandatory 7-day reflection period. The increase does not take effect until 7 full days have elapsed after the request, giving you time to reconsider. You may cancel an increase request at any time during this 7-day window.
- Removing a limit entirely follows the same 7-day reflection period as an increase. You cannot instantly remove a limit you have previously set.
Loss Limits & Wager Limits
In addition to deposit limits, 9joy also supports session loss limits (the maximum amount you are willing to lose in a single session) and single-wager limits (the maximum stake on any individual bet or spin). Time-Out & Cooling-Off Periods
Sometimes the most responsible decision is simply to take a break. 9joy's time-out feature allows you to temporarily suspend access to your account for a defined period without permanently closing it. During a time-out, you cannot log in, place bets, or make deposits. Your account balance is preserved and your account will be automatically reactivated when the time-out period expires.
Available Time-Out Periods
- 24-Hour Time-Out: Ideal for a short pause after an emotional session or a moment of impulse.
- 48-Hour Time-Out: A two-day break to reset perspective.
- 7-Day Time-Out: A week-long cooling-off period recommended when you notice increased frequency of play.
- 30-Day Time-Out: A full month's break for a more substantial reset.
How to Activate a Time-Out
- Log in to your 9joy account using your registered username and OTP.
- Navigate to Account Settings from the top-right profile menu.
- Select "Responsible Gaming" from the settings sidebar.
- Choose "Time-Out / Cooling-Off" and select your preferred duration.
- Confirm your choice. The time-out activates immediately — no further action is needed and there is no cancellation window once confirmed.
During any active time-out or cooling-off period, 9joy will automatically suppress all promotional emails, SMS messages, and push notifications associated with your account. Your account data and balance are fully preserved and will be accessible once the period ends.
Self-Exclusion
Self-exclusion is a formal, longer-term measure for players who feel that gambling is causing them genuine harm and who wish to prevent themselves from accessing 9joy for an extended period. Unlike a time-out, self-exclusion is a serious commitment and cannot be reversed before the chosen period expires.
Self-Exclusion Periods
- 6 Months: The minimum self-exclusion period. Suitable for players who want a significant break but anticipate returning to recreational play in future.
- 1 Year: A 12-month exclusion for players who need sustained distance from the platform.
- 3 Years: An extended exclusion for players with serious concerns about their gambling habits.
- Permanent / Lifetime: A permanent closure of your 9joy account with no option to reopen. This is a one-way decision that 9joy enforces strictly. If you choose permanent self-exclusion, your account will be closed and you will be permanently prevented from registering a new account at 9joy.
What Happens During Self-Exclusion
- Your account is immediately suspended and inaccessible.
- All pending promotional communications are permanently cancelled.
- Any pending withdrawals at the time of self-exclusion will be processed to your registered payment method (bKash, Nagad, or bank account) within standard processing times.
- 9joy will make reasonable technical efforts to prevent you from opening a new account during your self-exclusion period. If you become aware of any means by which you have been able to circumvent this, please contact us immediately.
- At the end of a non-permanent self-exclusion period, your account will not be automatically reactivated. You must contact support and undergo a cooling-off interview before access is restored.
Requesting Self-Exclusion
You can initiate self-exclusion directly from your Account Settings under the "Responsible Gaming" section, or by contacting the 9joy support team via email. Self-exclusion requests submitted by email are processed within 24 hours. Account Settings requests take effect immediately upon confirmation.
